Freehand tattoo - is it an independent style?
To draw and/or redraw are two different things that confirm or deny the talent of a true artist. Tattooists also aren’t an exception :) Freehand tattooing is considered one of the most difficult tattooing techniques to be learned, as it requires a lot of practice and artistic talent to without mistakes to create a unique piece on Your skin.
A freehand tattoo sometimes is written as two separated words "free hand" refers to a tattoo made without a stencil, which means that the tattoo artist does not print your design on carbon paper before applying it on Your skin but instead draws it on your skin with markers.
Using this technique in different ways, You can create a tattoo which exactly matches natural flow and structure of Your body, while maintaining a unique originality, as this work is created in single exemplar and directly on Your skin :)
Freedom and flexibility are two of FreeHand’s main pillars. It is a technique that adapts to almost any style and can be incorporated in a variety of ways with a condition, that is executed in one of two ways
- either by drawing the tattoo with a marker on the skin, or by tattooing directly onto the client's s k i n w i t h a n e e d l e w i t h o u t any pre-drawing.
Freehand tattooing allows to create a fully customized design, that precisely follows the curvature of body in places where a stencil cannot be so easily adjusted and folded. No matter how we cut the stencil, sometimes it just doesn't fit, especially for arm/leg sleeves. This tattoo technique has countless (+) and practically has no (-), apart from the lack of drawing skills :(
Cover - in proper English, is a coverage; it involves covering an old tattoo that you want to hide with a new piece, the freehand technique will be particularly suitable for this type of work as it allows the artist to reuse the line or a feature of the new tattoo.
Filler - refers to a tattoo that fits between two existing tattoos (it comes from the verb "to fill"). When it comes to adjusting to several details and in particular, conforming to their contours without betraying them, freehand tattooing is the best choice.
P.S.
We live in a dynamic age and technologies don’t stand still, it is foolish not to adapt them and use them when developing a tattoo design. You deserve the best tattoo, which corresponds exactly to Your intention. Deciding in favor for freehand tattoo, You should carefully consider. Trusting to the artist - it is the most important decision, as they will have creative control over the final design.
You will see the result on your skin not on paper, to have an opportunity, what to improve.
Personally, we :) are supporters of new technologies, which look for common denominators, that will combine the best characteristics from different techniques and styles. Our belief is unwavering: "If you can't draw on paper by hand - you won't learn how to draw over the stencil on the skin either". One of the main advantages of freehand tattoos is their uniqueness. It is practically impossible to recreate the exact design twice. A copy (reproduction) can be created, but the original will remain only on your skin. Each freehand tattoo is a unique work of art, which is specially adapted to each client's body shape and skin.
Combining the advantages of digital drawing with the talent of classical drawing, which doesn’t cancel each other out - on the contrary, they complement each other. Right here GTA will be created an unusual and fresh artistic flow, that will be based on talent and not populism :) Follow us - we are just getting started :):):)
