Ampelmann's diary

Let's get started :) Spring is a wonderful time to travel from and to warm countries, personally I can say the opposite. The search for culture and art is the main purpose of my trip. This time my attention caught the head of Nefertiti in the Berlin Art Museum. " Better to see once than to hear a hundred times". She gained fame as a beauty icon in 1912, when archaeologists found a limestone bust more than 3,300 years old. Her full name was Neferneferuaten-Nefertiti, which translates as "The beautiful woman has come".

The whole day was spent in the museum, the exhibition was really extensive, to my great surprise, there were local art enthusiasts from Berlin, who showed a different view of this city, its sublimated art culture, where the street itself transforms into museum exhibition. In total, more than 60 km were walked through the streets of Berlin in three days. The legs suffered, but it was all worth it. Everything was documented and immortalized in photos.

Today, wall drawings are a common urban landscape, but here in Berlin everything seems a little different - rather on the level of feelings. Of course, without the support of the local government at the national level, all the attractiveness of Berlin would be overshadowed. The idea of integrating street art into the urban landscape is worthy of applause, we draw and will draw to fight the inevitable - the artist must express his idea for criticism and inspection.

The vividness of colors and the avant-garde enthusiasm with which these works of street art have been created surprises. There is no political or social Banksy handwriting here, here art is in a free form of expression.

Each one of us who positions himself as a representative of art, regardless of the form of expression, is looking for his own identity, I think Berlin has found it :)

Nothing personal, my Russian-speaking reader, but you can’t rebuild the hill of history, no matter how many walls you put down, you can redistribute the city, the country, but art will find its way. Berlin is a realistic cultural and historical proof.

Usually, a trip is a collective event, at least with a travel companion, but this time it's just the two of us, the phone and me, sorry for the quality of the pictures :)

"Art doesn't need a space - it will find its own audience" I read this phrase on a poster; I can't disagree :)

Everyday has become depressing, studies, work, nothing bright. Before I went to Berlin, my acquaintances scared me, dirty, gray, uninteresting capital of Germany... Nonsense - prejudices of post-socialist remnants :( A stylish, modern, urban city with comfortable and wide, tidy sidewalks, where the city interacts with culture and nature. Where different cultures interact in a mutually symbiotic way, a great place where budding art enthusiasts can try to find a piece of themselves. If I chose to study sculpture as a major form of art, one of the Berlin art universities would be my choice. Here you don’t have to be accountable for your vision, you are yourself with your own independent vision.

P.S.

Very positive impressions, the sketchbook is filled - with emotions, that will or will not turn into My View of the Concept Art tomorrow. There is a time for everything, as Shigeru Miyamoto said; "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever B.A.D".

Don't let other people's opinion influence yours – Be loyal only to your own :)
