The captivating Blackwork tattoo style

Perhaps indeed Blackwork tattoo origins must be sought near natives of the islands in Polynesia, but thinking and looking at this style today, it is independent and not intended for each of You - it is the style of the brave and irreversible an adherent of tattooing. Blackwork tattoos are unparalleled. In it is used a special art conception, this style has characteristic thick outlines, bold, black areas and deliberately empty spaces. The only color and ink used is black. Solid black ink is used to create negative space which is then used to highlight design elements. This technique often involves filling large areas of skin with black ink, creating a dramatic and visually striking effect. N.O.N.E colors - only B.L.A.C.K :)

Another parallel to the Blackwork tattoo style is derived from what is commonly thought of as Spanish Blackwork, which is actually fine embroidery on fabric. Tightly twisted black silk threads were used either in counted stitch or freehand on white or light linen fabrics.

Designs ranged from flowers, for instance, ivy and floral labyrinth illustrations to more complex compositions, for instance, stylized graphic knots. It is considered that Moors from North Africa were the first to use the sewing technique which is now called black work. Around the 8th century, they traveled to Spain and took the technique with them. Blackwork consists of a combination of back stitch and double stitch (also called Holbein stitch).

F.a.c.t :) Was used only black colored thread to hide dirt on the wearer's clothing, sometimes called "poor man's lace". It is considered that Catherine of Aragon brought blackwork from Spain to England when she moved there in 1509, to marry King Henry VIII. It became popular in England and was known as Spanish work. When they divorced several decades later, the embroidery technique became known as blackwork. Queen Elizabeth I wore garments inlaid with blackwork and was noted for her outfits that stood out among other nobles.

A design made entirely of black ink, without adding color or gray tint, can be classified as a Blackwork tattoo. Blackwork tattoo artists who work in the field of Dark Art usually have an illustrative approach that draws inspiration from esotericism, alchemy and other mysterious hermetic iconography. An interesting technique is sacred geometry. Plato's idea that God is hidden in perfect geometric structures :)

Because Blackwork tattooing in general ways is included a wide range of aesthetics and personal approaches - the possibilities are almost limitless. Thanks to the simple clarity of the design, the way the black ink appears on any skin tone, and the fact that it ages incredibly well make this tattoo type adaptable to any design or concept. Some people choose blackout tattoos to cover up a large area of old tattoo that they no longer like, this also works great with Blackwork style.

Black as a color has incredible power and symbolism that creates stunning visual results on any skin tone. It is the original and pure tattoo color that often distinguishes tattoos with their distinctive shade. The speech is about the concept of color and the dynamics it creates on your skin.

P.S.

The all-black color conception is taken to the extreme :) Your skin canvas loses the color of the skin forever, but gains the unparalleled energy of black ink, emphasizing the immense power and depth of the black color. Of course, be prepared for the healing process. Blackout tattoos will require several sessions to achieve the desired depth and darkness.
