Portrait of Fumito Ueda

When I was asked to come up with an inspiring idea as the game sections began to grow, the concept of portraits emerged. The first became Fumito Ueda, a visionary whose work has deeply inspired me. Initially, I planned to use just one material—either aquarelle or charcoal—but I decided to blend several materials to capture the essence of Ueda's unique creativity.

The final portrait is a harmonious combination of sanguine, sepia, wax crayons, charcoal, and aquarelle. Each medium brings its own texture and depth to the artwork, reflecting the multifaceted nature of Ueda's contributions to art and gaming. This mix of materials allowed me to create a piece that highlights his likeness and conveys a nuanced view of his artistic vision.
