Modern styles in artistic expression, does tattooing also have such
It is difficult to talk about style at the beginning of the 21st century - rather, within the framework of the century that has begun today, we can talk about trends and directions whose beginnings already began in the 20th century. I will list the brightest and most-known movements of the New Style, at the same time we will try to draw parallels with tattoo designs.
20th century was marked by the globalization of information. Of course, today is the 21st century, the circulation of information should be multiplied by a hundred. The basis for everything is, of course, the Global Network (Internet).
Cubism - representatives of this art genre abandoned fragmentary details and suggestive colors and created one motif from different points of view. Looking at the available information about the genre Tattoo world is represented, great inspiration belongs to PABLO, there are also original ideas - Respect to the representatives of the genre... The genre definitely holds potential for tomorrow. Later I will also upload my view (drawing) on the subject of cubism.
Lyrical abstractionism - the best-known author of the genre, V. Kandinsky, was convinced that music can be depicted, in his compositions he painted music with the help of colored lines and squares, believing that shapes and colors are analogous to notes. Little represented in the Tattoo world, current attempts at the style are an approximation rather than the actual style. A free niche where talented artists can express themselves, as music is forever alive and ever changing.
Neoplasticism - One black line divided into three colors, forming irregular color squares. Straight, horizontal and vertical intersecting lines form straight arcs, thus dividing the marked surface into squares and rectangles. Only the primary colors are sometimes white areas (neoplasticism). In the tattoo world isn’t represented, a complex style requiring mathematical thinking. From my side, I can add a very interesting genre that allows to recreate any classic drawing in a modern interpretation.
Opart and kinetic art - Opart (optikal art.), (from the Greek kinesis - movement). These are unusual and distant works from traditional art, they really move, they use various tricks, play with color contrasts, creating the impression of optical movements. A rare phenomenon in the world of tattooing, in fact not without reason, because our body parts are in independent movement, a correctly placed and positioned drawing creates an effective and moving tattoo. If you know where to look for luminescent ink materials, you can create a drawing that will come to life in the dark.
Sirrealism - Not to be confused with surrealism, it's completely different. Sirrealism manifests itself in plastic arts, searching for the deep reality of the unconscious, where imagination and dreams bring surprise, comic, tragic and metamorphoses. Adherents of this art style experiment with automatic drawing techniques, which are accompanied by expressive fantasy, sexual metaphors, more or less veiled eroticism. In the tattoo world, everything would be the Fantasy genre, but the potential of Sirrealism has not been fully realized today.
Pop Art - the abbreviation of popular art introduced by the British critic Lawrence Elloway, refers to artistic production created between 1955 and 1970 under the influence of mass culture. It is a fine art influenced by advertising, illustrated magazines, television, comics and other forms of expression of the modern world. There are good examples in the Tattoo world, colourful according to style, perspective and modern genre.
It is thanks to Tattoo artists that we have to talk separately about the art style, which is a modern innovation.
Biomechanical - Tendency to portray yourself as a bio mechanism today. I think you will agree with me that this is no longer science fiction and within this century we will see the first Biomachines created by man. Thanks to all the enthusiasts in the field who have developed their own style and way of making deductions. Truly impressive and sophisticated works.
P.S
Once you've decided what you want to tattoo, where you want to tattoo it - decide in what style you want to see this tattoo done on your skin :)
